Isotropic Landau-Lifshitz Equation

By using the geometric concept of PDEs with prescribed curvature representation, we prove that the 1+2 dimensional isotropic Landau-Lifshitz equation is gauge equivalent to a 1+2 dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger-type system. From the nonlinear Schrödinger-type system, we construct blowing up H3(R2)-solutions to the Landau-Lifshitz equation, which reveals the blow up phenomenon of the equation.

Numerical Methods for the Landau-Lifshitz Equation

We discuss numerical schemes for various forms of the Landau–Lifshitz equation. A new simple projection method is introduced and is shown to be unconditionally stable. The advantages over other schemes are also demonstrated numerically.

Temperature-dependent ferromagnetic resonance via the Landau-Lifshitz-Bloch equation : Application to FePt

Using the Landau-Lifshitz-Bloch (LLB) equation for ferromagnetic materials, we derive analytic expressions for temperature-dependent absorption spectra as probed by ferromagnetic resonance. By analyzing the resulting expressions, we can predict the variation of the resonance frequency and damping with temperature and coupling to the thermal bath. We base our calculations on the technologically ...

Micromagnetic modeling of laser-induced magnetization dynamics using the Landau-Lifshitz-Bloch equation

We present a dynamic approach to micromagnetics based on the Landau-Lifshitz-Bloch equation and Langevin dynamics. This type of modeling will be necessary at high temperatures when the magnetization length is not conserved, especially close to the Curie temperature. We model the laser-induced magnetization dynamics with various laser pulse fluences and show that the results are consistent with ...
